KUERNBUT OR FOTBITR? Is your sword lucky, noble, or bloodthirsty, or even treacherous? It is, if it has inherited some skill or personality from previous owners or makers. Maybe it even has a name like “Millstone-breaker” or “Foot-biter” too. The battle-worn Viking sword is a weapon of status and heirloom, and just like the legendary sword “Skraep” which was unearthed completely rusted in the legend of how King Vermund’s son saves Denmark from the Saxons, it may seem to be in poor condition judging by its appearance. That is not the case. This 100cm sword has a full 85cm blade designed to be lightweight while maintaining its structural stability. The crossguard features an intricate snake-like ornament. The handle is detailed and is 10cm long, cast and painted to look like realistic leather wrapped around a carved hilt and pommel. Whether you're an epic Viking, a savage Beserker, or an evil humanoid ice creature from the North, this Viking Sword is our highest quality gear due to its impressive durability and weathered detailing. The blade is made from closed cell foam around a fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, while the handle is polyurethane foam allowing for added detail and requiring no maintenance. This hybrid model sword will make you confident in the safety and appeal of your weapon on the battlefield. HISTORY Originally a Frankish Design Most swords of this design found in Scandinavia were important or looted from the Frankish Empire. A fuller groove, or the groove that runs the length of the blade, was added to the weapons to lighten the blade and add structural strength.
