Colada Sword of the Cid of MARTO
The COLADA is one of the two swords, along with the Tizona, that legendary tradition attributes to the Cid
The Colada Sword of the Cid by MARTO 386 is a high-quality replica of one of the two swords that the legendary tradition attributes to the Cid, along with the Tizona. The Colada sword was won in combat by the warrior from Burgos from the Count of Barcelona and became a symbol of bravery and honour. Although it was given to the Cid's son-in-law, it was returned after the affront committed against his daughters Doña Elvira and Doña Sol in the town of Corpes. The Cid, dishonoured, asks the king for justice and the trial ends with the "riepto" or duel in which the representatives of the Cid's cause defeat the princes, thus recovering both swords and annulling the wedding. Colada was given again by the Cid to his knight Martín Antolínez, who kept it in his possession until his death.
The MARTO 386 Colada Sword of El Cid is a magnificent replica of the original sword. It is 100 cm long and 19 cm wide, and weighs 1.3 kg. It is a high-quality sword from the exclusive "Historical, Fantastic and Legendary Swords" Collection made by MARTO. This sword is one of the most representative of the medieval history of Spain and an essential piece for any collector or history lover.
The quality of the MARTO 386 Colada Sword of El Cid is exceptional and its workmanship is made in Toledo, guaranteeing its quality and origin. This sword is a unique and special piece that cannot be missing from any collection of historical swords.
