Your Knightly Code is one of valor, truth, and courage. You are tasked with defending the innocent and the weak, and today your oath is put to the test. Outside of town there’s been an attack by bandits on a merchant and his family, and it’s up to you to rescue them. Your squire straps your Lion Shield securely to your arm over the weight of your chainmail, and with a prayer to your god, you and your small unit hit the road. The sword upon your shield is a reminder that you are a weapon of justice. Criminals are warned. DETAILS The Epic Armory Lion Shield is a semi-curved kite shield inspired by the Normans of the 10th - 12th centuries. Finished with a beautifully detailed laser-cut heraldry pattern, this shield will fit perfectly in the hands of an infantryman or knight. The remainder of the shield is hand-crafted and painted, designed to resemble a lacquered shield with a metal rim. Wear this Lion Shield left or right handed with the use of its versatile three leather straps on the back, secured via hard EVA foam for a reliable, solid grip made to last. Feel confident that this latex shield will withstand the continued abuse of a LARP with regular latex maintenance. Available in White/Gold, Green, and Red colors. HISTORY Also known as a "kite" shield, originally from the 10th-12th centuries. Associated with the Normans, who were the first to use this style of shield widely. Made from non-splintering wood such as alder, fir, poplar, or basswood.
