 MASTERS OF SKULDUGGERY

The Landsknecht Rondel is a solid 46cm. dagger inspired by the mercenary Landsknechts of the Hansa state era. Whether your LARP character is a scheming scoundrel whose trade is deception and espionage or simply a rogue on the run, this dagger is for you. It features a 28cm. blade with a central ridge and a thin wooden handle protected by a twisted bronze ring-shaped cross. The bronze-coloured pommel is rounded, designed as a basic interpretation of a knight's 'rondel dagger'. When fighting melee enemies in heavy plate armour, daggers such as this would have been used to force themselves between joints.

Special care has been taken to ensure our LARP weapons are safe. This dagger was constructed around a solid fiberglass rod core and a flexible kevlar tip to prevent punctures. Its latex finish requires maintenance to maximize its use and your well-being.

 HISTORY

The German 'Landsknechts' were feared soldiers on the battlefields of the 16th century and had a reputation for relentless violence.
It was said that the devil refused to let the Landsknechts into hell, because he was so afraid of them.
