Daggers were originally the defensive weapon of the common civilian population, but in the 15th century they became a secondary weapon for knights, nobles and merchants. In the Wallerstein codex we see examples of knights using this type of defense, and in other pictorial references these daggers can be seen in all kinds of clothes. They were so widely used that we came to the conclusion that they were very useful and practical. In battle it seems that their function was to quickly kill the badly wounded. The one we offer here is based on a 14th century buckler dagger, also with a carved wooden handle.

We recommend not storing the blade inside the sheath for long periods of time because leather is a hygroscopic material and can therefore transmit moisture to the metal and oxidize it over time.
Carbon steel is not treated so it may have rust, which is easily removable. You can protect this item from rust with synthetic or mineral oil.
No claims will be accepted for any of the above cases.
