A dagger is a bladed weapon with a flattened blade and a sharp tip. It is longer than a dirk and shorter than a sword. It is usually double-edged and has a guard to protect the hilt. It was used as a secondary weapon, complementing the sword. This sharp or pointed item should not be used for medieval reenactment or other types of combat without prior modification.
