Defense has always been a basic concept to take into account in the daily life of men of yesteryear and that is why in many cases a good dagger at hand was one of the usual resources for self-protection.
This dagger is made from an original piece, of which only the guard and the pommel are preserved, and responds to a design that could be dated between approximately 1500 and 1600. The guard has a shell-shaped handguard, a typical religious motif for pilgrims and quite common in Europe. The handle is made of wood and is studded with brass nails, giving it a very common appearance in daggers of that period. The pommel and the guard are made, like the original piece, using lost wax in brass.
An interesting piece to consider for reenactors and collectors alike.
Includes a gift pod.
