This type of dagger was popular from the northernmost part of Europe to the Holy Land during the 12th to late 13th centuries. Its guard and pommel make it comfortable to use with mail gauntlets.

We recommend not storing the blade inside the sheath for long periods of time because leather is a hygroscopic material and can therefore transmit moisture to the metal and oxidize it over time.
Carbon steel is not treated so it may have rust, which is easily removable. You can protect this item from rust with synthetic or mineral oil.
