A helmet font is a chain mail that was attached to a helmet in the Middle Ages as additional protection for the neck and shoulders. The preferred types of helmets were the nasal helmet, but most notably the late medieval basin bonnet and its variant the doggugel.

This unriveted chain ring braid is made of high-quality spring steel. Due to its good price-performance ratio, it is ideal for beginners who still value good protection and solid quality. The braiding is 4 in 1.
We call this type of braiding BTW (English = B utted T ensile W IRE).
The rings are untreated so they may rust, but they give the braid an authentic look.
