This curious utility knife has an elongated, sharpened handle, which makes it possible to use it to write on wax tablets, and even to use it for writing with ink. It is based on an original and dates back to the early 13th century, although it would have been perfectly valid up to the 15th century.

Includes a free leather sheath.

We recommend not storing the blade inside the sheath for long periods of time because leather is a hygroscopic material and can therefore transmit moisture to the metal and oxidize it over time.

Carbon steel is not treated so it may have rust, which is easily removable. You can protect this item from rust with synthetic or mineral oil.
