BEFORE YOU CAN SAY KNIFE... This is a combat knife. It may look bruised and worn, but don't let that fool you! The Battleworn Trench Knife is a latex hybrid single edge knife with an intricate knuckle duster handle. In length, it resembles a detailed medium sword with traces of wear such as rust and nicks. The knife is 85cm long and has a 65cm curved blade inspired by World War I weapons. The elaborate cross guard curves around the hand, offering a comfortable and protective grip for each individual finger, but is also good for close quarters fights where a strike can be just as effective as a cut. The 11cm handle is cast and painted to look like real wood with metal trim. Whether you're a ruffian, a battered soldier, or a post-apocalyptic warrior, this Battleworn Trench Knife is our highest quality gear due to its impressive durability and detail. The blade is made from closed cell foam around a fiberglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, while the handle is made from polyurethane foam which allows for added detail and is maintenance free. Whenever you're looking for a worn and distressed look for your LARP character, this hybrid sword model will have you confident in the safety and appeal of your weapon on the battlefield. HISTORY The knife style was developed during World War I to incapacitate soldiers in close quarters. Some of the earliest knuckle-style knives were issued by the US Army during World War I, including the Mark I Trench Knives of 1917 and 1918.
