Neck Knife, Tokyo Spike Cold Steel CST-53NHS

The Cold Steel® Spike Series Neck Knife is slim, lightweight and extremely robust. These neck knives have razor-sharp blades made of cryo-treated German 4116 stainless steel with so-called zero grind and deeply grooved, structured handles that are ergonomic and ensure a comfortable and firm hold.

Integrated stop elements ensure that the index finger and thumb do not slip towards the blade and remain protected, while the deeply structured surface of Griv-Ex™ offers excellent grip even with cold, wet and slippery hands.

These neck knives are available in four different blade designs (Bowie, Drop Point, Tanto , and Tokyo). They offer all the toughness of a single-piece solid steel construction, but remain lightweight enough to effortlessly carry all day long.

For better storage and security, each neck knife in the Spike collection is supplied with a Secure-Ex® sheath. The Spikes are extremely lightweight (knife and sheath together weigh approx. 85g!) and can be comfortably worn around the neck all day long. A black ball chain is included as a lanyard. Thanks to the sheath design, which is compatible with the Tek-Lok™ carrying system, the knives can also be worn on the waistband or belt.

Stainless steel for knives 4116
4116 is a fine-grained stainless knife steel from Germany. It is often used for pharmaceutical equipment and high-quality kitchen knives . Its balanced ratio of carbon and chromium ensures first-class rust protection and high strength. Very fine and extremely sharp cutting edges can be ground. An excellent choice for outdoor and hunting knives. Cold Steels® 4116 stainless steel is cryo-treated. This low-temperature treatment ensures significantly improved strength, hardness and toughness and higher edge retention is achieved.
