The Swedish Forest Hunting Knife is an ideal tool for any outdoor and hunting enthusiast. Designed to be a multi-purpose knife, it is ideal for bushcraft tasks and different outdoor jobs. Its blade is approximately 10 cm long and is made of 4 mm thick O2 tool steel, a carbon steel that has been heat treated and hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 58-60 HRC. This makes the blade very stable and easy to sharpen and re-sharpen.

The blade features a Scandinavian cut and a satin finish that perfectly complements its oak handle. This handle has been treated with a traditional Scandinavian linseed oil-based lacquer and features black coatings between the handle shells and the steel to prolong the life of the knife. The knife also comes with a sturdy 3mm thick vegetable-tanned full-grain cowhide trimmed sheath in cognac brown.

The sheath comes with a particularly wide belt loop, a drainage hole and an eyelet for attaching a lanyard. In addition, this particular model features a refractory steel holder that houses a refractory steel with a matching handle. The quality of the materials used and their design make them stand out as a high-quality and durable knife.

The steel used in the blade is Bá¶hler K720, an extremely robust and durable tool steel. It is a steel that shows high edge retention even under intensive use, while also being resistant to scratches and cracks. It can be heat treated at high temperatures without losing its ductility and toughness. It is a steel that also has a very fine structure and is therefore easily sharpened, leaving a razor-sharp edge.

However, it is important to note that if the blade is left damp or wet or stored for a long time and not used, it may tarnish due to its low chromium content. Therefore, to prevent rust from forming, it should always be dried with a cloth immediately after use and treated with a protective oil or wax beforehand.

In short, the Swedish Forest Hunting Knife is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a durable, tough, and highly functional knife for their outdoor adventures and hunting. With its combination of oak and O2 steel, this knife will not fear any job and will last for years.
