This executioner's cap, almofar or armour cap made of chainmail is expertly crafted to cushion shocks to armour. Blackened to be more resistant to moisture.

A cap made of mesh darkened to a blackish tone evoking the Black Prince. Faithfully copied from examples in museums and private collections, it can be worn with or without a helmet.

We recommend keeping this mesh greased at all times.
