A Haubergeon (= small Hauberk) is a half-sleeved, hip-length chainmail shirt . Ring armour of this type was already in use by the Celts and Romans and was used in Europe until the 14th century, when it was superseded by the plate armour of the late Middle Ages.

chain link By the way: This unriveted chain link is made of high-quality spring steel. Due to its good price-performance ratio, it is ideal for beginners who still value good protection and solid quality. The braiding is 4 in 1.
We call this type of braiding BTW (English = B utted T ensile W IRE).

The rings are untreated so they may rust, but they give the braid an authentic look.

Our Ulfberth Haubergeons BTW are available in four standard sizes (M, L, XL and XXL).

Individual size dimensions are measured at full stretch.
