This
medieval chainmail cap
follows the tradition of
European fighter from the 12th to 14th centuries
and offers protection for the head, neck and shoulders in an age when steel ring armor dominated the battlefield. This headdress is made with
14 gauge aluminum butt rings
with a
10 mm inner diameter
mimicking the density and drape of traditional steel chain mail without its excessive weight.
A unique feature of this piece is the integration of
rubber rings
woven into the structure of the chainmail. These flexible components provide
greater elasticity and comfort
while maintaining tension in the fabric. This hybrid construction method offers a
modern advantage in flexibility
keeping the historical idea intact.
The classic cap design includes full draping over the
head, shoulders, and upper chest
and the upper chest, allowing it to be worn alone or under a helmet. The flared lower edge mimics surviving examples from medieval Europe, providing coverage to vulnerable areas while ensuring freedom of movement.

They are not recommended for high-impact combat unless worn with padded protection underneath.
