This elegant medieval belt is a reproduction of the belt of Count Otto VI (VII) of Weimar-Orlamunde (Otto VI., Graf von Weimar-Orlamunde, Herr zu Plassenburg & Rudolstadt, 1297-1340) depicted on his royal stone effigy or epitaph, which can be seen in Kloster Himmelkron (his burial place and former Cistercian monastery in Bavaria, Germany).
This approx. 4cm wide belt is made from 2mm thick, sturdy leather and is fitted with a distinctive round prong buckle, a disc-shaped end tip and 14 rounded crosses in the shape of a heart.
flower. All fittings are made of brass. The belt has a total length of approx. 146 cm (131 cm without buckle and end tip), has no pierced holes and is worn "knotted" in true medieval style. It can therefore be adjusted to a comfortable, custom fit and is suitable for a wide range of sizes.
This leather belt is best suited to High and Late Medieval settings and particularly suited to the representation of a 13th or 14th century knight or nobleman.
