An authentic replica of a late Roman belt (Cingulum) of a centurion, the officer of a hundred Roman legions.
The belt is made of approx. 3 mm thick brown cowhide leather and is covered with
decorative brass fittings in the form of a spindle and a solid multi-part belt buckle. Also attached to the belt were two brass rings with a holder, on which a dagger (Pugio), a sword (Gladius or Spatha) or a belt pouch could be worn.
