This Roman soldier's helmet (also known as Galea or Cassis ) is a simplified scale replica of a so-called Imperial Gallic Weisenau helmet from the 1st/2nd century AD. Characteristic identifying features of this particular type of helmet were (among other things) the pronounced brow ridges, the browband and the circular decorative brass rosettes. Real Roman soldiers never left the field without their helmets. The helmet belonged to the armour ( lorica ), shield ( scutum ) and short sword ( gladius ) to equip every brave legionary.
This Roman helmet for small legionaries is made of steel and decorated with brass applications. The children's helmet is equipped with hinged cheek flaps, an adjustable faux leather entrance and a leather strap with buckle.
With this galley, every child is well prepared to defend his castle. The Roman camp, the carnival party or the playground at home become the stage for great heroic deeds.
