This type of helmet is an excellent example of the evolution of the knight's helmet. It is one of the first attempts to protect the face with something more than a nose extension or a chainmail face shield. This helmet evolved into the full head protection of the helm-type helmet.
This design is made from 18 gauge steel that has been distressed to give it an antique look.
The leather lining allows for a perfect fit.
