Viking Goggles Helmet, 2mm Steel, with Helmet Plume and Chain Hole 1764000025

This Viking Age Goggle Helmet is hand forged from 2mm steel. It consists of a round helmet hood, a headband with ribbons/strips or clasps (a crown band and a band running from ear to ear), and goggles . The band fittings and face/eye protection are made from thinner steel and are attached to the hood with steel rivets. The blackened interior has an adjustable leather inlay, and the leather strap is fitted with a steel buckle.

To protect the neck, throat and lower part of the face, the helmet has a chain mail cylinder reaching down to the shoulders. The 4-in-1 chain mail consists of 1.6 mm thick riveted round steel rings (braided type RRR - Riveted Round Rings ) with an inner diameter of about 9 mm. The font is attached directly to the lower edge of the bell and glasses.

The early medieval Spangenhelm comes with a black horsehair helmet plume approximately 70 cm long.
