The Medieval Battle Bascinet offers its wearer a historical take on head protection. This 12 gauge steel helmet features a slightly pointed sugar loaf shape and a hinged visor, a common style of head protection for knights of old. A horizontal cut in the visor allows the wearer to view the battlefield while remaining safely within the helm. Small facial holes aid in ventilation. The visor can be secured in place with a leather strap on one side and a hook on the other. An expertly handcrafted piece, the thickness of the Medieval Battle Bascinet's steel may have slight variations.
This item is unpadded. Thick padded protective pieces are recommended.

Made of 2.5 mm steel. The thickness of the steel may vary due to the artisanal manufacturing of our products. Carbon steel is not treated so it may have rust, which is easily removable. You can protect this item from rust with synthetic or mineral oil.
