This chain-link hood completely covers the shoulder and is provided with the authentic square sash section. In addition, the hood has a foldable square mouthguard to which leather straps are sewn on each side. The mouthguard is lightly padded on the inside and covered with leather. This type of chain-link hood was particularly popular in the High Middle Ages (e.g. among Normans and Crusaders).
We recommend wearing a hood under the chain hood.

This unriveted chain ring braid is made of high-quality spring steel. Due to its good price-performance ratio, it is ideal for beginners who still value good protection and solid quality. The braiding is 4 in 1.
We call this type of braiding BTW (English = B utted T ensile W IRE).
The rings are untreated so they may rust, but they give the braid an authentic look.
