From the beginning of metal joint protections to the use of complete arms, there is a gap of almost a hundred years. In the 16th century, the most complicated forms came to cover the entire arm, leaving practically nothing unprotected. Until then, the development of armour protections reached a high point in the 15th century in Italy. The arms we offer, with a rounded codal and carved blade, could be an excellent example of Italian style arms for the years 1390 to 1450.
