Low northern boot, 14th-15th century

With their distinctive fastening system, these boots are based on a 14th century original found in northern lands. The striking system has proven to be very useful and comfortable, gathering the ankle and securing it with a single buckle. This style of fastening can be seen throughout Europe from the 10th century to as late as the 16th century.
