You look at your senior officer as he makes his way through the line of your fellow soldiers. His fate and the fate of his entire unit depends on this veteran's word, and he is relieved to no longer be burdened with such a heavy load.
“We must fight!” your officer shouts for all to hear. You adjust your Barbuta helmet, double-checking the buckles as you listen to him continue. “For our homes and our families, we will fight until we can fight no more!” With a resounding cheer, your fellow soldiers prepare to charge. You draw your weapon, anxious and scared at the same time.
The battle has begun.
DETAILS
The Barbuta from Epic Armoury is a style of helmet inspired by 15th century Italian soldiers. Designed to protect the head during combat, the Barbuta is both stylish and functional. The helmet covers the head, neck, and most of the face, while still providing clear vision through the helmet’s Y-shaped visor, which has been reinforced with rolled steel and additional rivets. Enjoy this sleek, easy-to-wear design, which demands attention on the battlefield with details like the curved shield that runs from the forehead to the neck.
The Barbuta is designed to be worn with Renaissance style clothing, but also has a high fantasy feel to it. It has been popularized in modern culture as a preferred headgear of the High Elves.
Secure the Barbuta by adjusting the leather strap under the chin, keeping the helmet in place. Made from 1mm thick mild steel and top grain leather straps and fittings, this piece of armour is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with the usual care of leather and metal armour.
Available in medium and large sizes.
