This portable and mobile replica of a late medieval shoulder plate armour is based on a German original from the 15th century (ca. 1465). The armour's shafts are made of 1.5 mm steel and equipped with so-called floating discs to protect the armpits. These round, movable steel discs, which are attached to each shoulder piece with a sturdy leather cord, can be adjusted in height.
In the case of the drawer, the individual push elements are connected to each other by sturdy leather straps riveted on the inside, which ensure the necessary mobility. Each armpit has an adjustable leather strap of approximately 2 mm thickness with a brass buckle. In this way, an individual adjustment to the upper arm can be easily made. On the upper edge there are three holes for attachment to a breastplate or gambeson (straps or nests are not included in the scope of delivery).
These articulated shoulder armours are equally suitable for historical reenactment, LARP and costumes. They are ideal for late medieval and Renaissance backgrounds and will make your interpretation of a proud knight perfect!
It is a pair, i.e. shoulder plates for both shoulders.
