Gothic armour, 15th century, 1.8 mm steel 1064000085

This beautifully detailed replica of a late medieval suit of armour is based on a 15th century German original (ca. 1465). It is made from 1.8mm steel and consists of a breastplate and backplate.

While the chest piece is fitted with three-way belly rings (or flaps ) to protect the hips, waist, groin and abdomen, the beautiful fully articulated back is formed by a flared culet The complete set consists of three wave-shaped plates, also overlapping and protecting the buttocks. All elements are connected by steel rivets. Both the front and back have the typical features of Gothic plate armour from the late Middle Ages (multi-layered presentation, corrugations, filigree cutouts). For better protection against corrosion, the inside of the armour is partially blackened.

With this upper body cuirass, the two halves are connected to each other with adjustable 3 mm thick leather straps with brass buckles. It can therefore be precisely adjusted to a wide range of sizes. The straps and buckles are firmly riveted at shoulder height and on the side of the back plate.

This battle-ready wearable armor is ideal for late medieval and Renaissance settings. Not only is it great for the portrayal of historical characters, but also for a variety of fictional or fantasy characters.
