Highland Brigandine, Medieval Brigantine, inspired by the cuirass of the 14th and 16th centuries
This medieval cuirass features leather plates riveted between the outer shell and the lining. This type of workmanship made it easy for the soldier to make and repair his own armour without the high skill of an armourer. Weighing only 6,800 g. It is very flexible and does not restrict movement. Approx. 89 cm long. It was commonly worn over a gambeson and mail shirt. This form of protection became very popular with mounted fighters and archers. This replica has two buckles for a perfect fit in different sizes.
