There were many fighting knives used by American Troops during World War II but this EG Waterman was one of the most versatile and therefore most popular. Original replica from the Collection known as the EG Williams Fighting Knife. It actually belongs to EG Waterman of San Francisco, and we have reproduced it in minute detail. It was very effective as a combat knife in the trenches. Its flat back and very solid pointed end made it very effective. It was also robust enough for use as a survival knife, making this knife popular among civilians as well.
The blade is made of forged high carbon steel and properly tempered in a computer controlled furnace. The reverse side of the blade is not sharpened. There is a handy bottle opener on the top of the blade. The blade is engraved with "EGW KNIFE" just like the original. Dark, fine grained wood pommel is contoured and grooved for a perfect grip and upper and lower hand guard for secure hold. The pommel has a loop on the top for attaching a lanyard. Fits belts up to 6cm wide.
It comes equipped with a premium quality leather sheath riveted and sewn with waxed linen thread.
