Pole Axe, a long two-handed axe, is a replica of a design found in a Private Collection.
This type of long, two-handed axe was very popular in combat, with the winner being decided by the number of blows delivered. It was quite popular for use on the battlefield. With a good sharp point, it could be used as a short spear and to pierce armour.
Excellent copy, with a high carbon blade and handle guards. A superb example of a polearm.
