These authentic reconstructions of medieval reversible shoes were probably carried out predominantly by women and more distinguished males. They are examples of archaeological finds in Schleswig and Konstanz.

Please note:
The sturdiness of these reversible stitched shoes may not meet modern standards. Reversible shoes are quite sensitive to asphalt, cobblestones and gravel. These floor coverings did not exist in the Middle Ages.

The shoes have a fairly flat cut with side lacing. The sole consists of vegetable tanned cowhide leather of about 4 mm thickness. The upper leather is about 1.8 mm thick and also vegetable tanned.
The shoes are handmade and invested in an authentic way.
