Roman sandals, Caligae Castleford

These high-quality Roman sandals are based on finds from Castleford (UK) and Valkenburg (Netherlands). Caligae were the marching boots of Roman soldiers.
The shoes are first class processed and made of vegetable tanned leather. They have the typical Roman sole spikes of 7 mm made of steel.

All vegetable tanned leather shoes should be oiled or waxed from the outside before use and as needed, so that the leather remains supple and does not crack.
