Kuhmaul shoes is a form of shoe from the early 16th century, it was worn by both men and women and developed during this time almost a part of the typical Landsknecht clothing. The shape of the shoe is characterized by a flat body and a long buckled belt once around the ankle serves as a closure and ensures a tight fit. The (historically incorrect) rubber sole was made from the leather sole of the glued stitches, making them more robust and durable.
Please note:
The sturdiness of shoes according to historical standards may not meet modern standards. They are quite sensitive to asphalt, concrete blocks and gravel. These floor coverings did not exist in the Middle Ages!
