Sugar Loaf helmet or helmet of the Knights Templar

This Sugarloaf Templar helmet features a conical top and is decorated with the Knights Templar cross all along the front. Handcrafted from 18 gauge steel, the Sugarloaf Templar helmet is padded on the inside and has a soft adjustable liner.

The Sugarloaf style of this helmet was a precursor to what would become the Great Helmet and eventually gave way to the lighter bascinet style. This replica dates to the late 13th and early 14th centuries.

Its conical top deflects sword blows. It is decorated all around the front with the antique brass Knights Templar cross. Made of 18 gauge steel. The Sugarloaf Templar helmet is padded on the inside and has a soft adjustable liner that allows for a perfect fit to any size.
