300170 Chainmail Shirt
From the Celts of 300 BC to the 18th century in Asia, chainmail was one of the most prized items a warrior could own. The "enemy of swords" probably derived the name "mail" from the Latin "macula" meaning net. This shirt features 16 gauge links in the "international" pattern, with 4 links across a 5th, which is common to all European chainmail. Faithfully copied from examples in museums and private collections.
We recommend keeping this chainmail oiled when not in use.
The diameter of each outer link is about 1cm and the diameter of the inner link is about 0.95cm.
This chainmail shirt fits a chest circumference of 137 cm
Total length: approx. 84 cm.
Sleeve length: approx. 46 cm.
