The German steel helmet M42 replaced the M35 and M40 models in mid-1942. In contrast to its predecessors it was not beaded, but only with outward facing edge and punched and crimped air holes, which were still fixed on the M35. The reproduction offered here is the last type of model before the end of World War II. The inlay is like the leather chin strap and can be customized to the wearer.
