The Burgonet, also called the Sturmhaube, was developed in the early 16th century from the Schaller. Notably, the Burgonet was used by infantry, and later by cavalry, and became one of the most popular types of helmets of its time.
The reproduction offered here has the characteristic sagittal crest and a curved taper, decorated with bronze-coloured studs, the additional gorget, also called helmet beard is also provided with brass elements and brass-coloured rivets, prepared with three pieces and with a leather strap against the wearer's chin and the helmet's side plates.
