This replica of an Italian aconite is made of 1.6 mm thick steel, they were not only used in Italy, but also for example in Switzerland and southern Germany, especially in infantry. The wide brim protects not only the head but also the shoulders, chest and back from dangers coming from above, such as the arrow storm of late medieval archers.

The wing is made of intersecting corrugated steel strips consisting of two centrally welded parts, the material thickness is 1.6 mm.
