Highly detailed replica of a cloverleaf fibula found in the Norwegian Kaupang. The decorations are typical for Osegergstil animals. Cloverleaf fibulae were often worn as a light drape over the centre of the chest. The strong needle and eyelet on the back of the brooch also allow it to be used on sturdier fabrics.
The Oseberg style is also known as the Broa style or early Viking style.
