SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH SILENCER, GERMANY 1931 1311

Reproduction of a pistol with a silencer, made of metal and plastic grips, with simulated loading and firing mechanism, magazine and removable silencer.

Made in Germany in 1931, known by its initials, whose name comes from the German "Polizei Pistole Kurz". Used by the army during World War II. It was the weapon used by Adolf Hitler to commit suicide.

It was also the first semi-automatic pistol that could be carried with a round in the chamber without the risk of accidental discharge due to knocks or falls. Its discreet and comfortable size, the low recoil of the shot and the safety of its mechanism made it popular throughout the 20th century, becoming the favourite weapon of the secret services of the West.

It was made famous by the fictional character James Bond 007, who has used it in many of his films, in which he attaches a silencer to the barrel when more subtle work is required. It is also the weapon used by Holly Hunter in her role as Detective MJ in Copycat.
