Cotton rolls with a woven herringbone pattern, are made from one piece. The edges are sewn with a flat ribbed seam so there are no tight seams. The bandages are closed with a simple cotton tape. They come in pairs.

Calf rolls were an integral part of Germanic clothing. They were wrapped from the foot to below the knee over trousers and served as a replacement for socks. They not only warmed, but also protected the legs from injuries. They were used by both men and women.
