Impressive replica of a Luger P08 Parabellum Pistol, Germany 1898 (1st and 2nd World War).
It is manufactured in Spain by Denix with quality materials.
The Parabellum or Model 1908 (P08) pistol, popularly known as the Luger, is a recoil-operated semi-automatic pistol that survived the restrictions of the Treaty of Versailles. It uses an internal slide, operated by a hinged arm, as opposed to the external slide common to almost all other semi-automatic pistols.
It was designed by Georg Luger in 1898 and produced by the German arms factory Deutsche WaffenundMunitionsfabriken (DWM) from 1900 onwards. During its years of useful life, the Luger P08 passed through the hands of several manufacturers, who were responsible for producing more than a million units of this legendary pistol that marked a before and after in the history of handguns.
Although the first models were manufactured in 7.65x21 Parabellum caliber, their 1908 model is famous for being the pistol for which the 9x19 Parabellum cartridge was developed. The name Parabellum comes from an old Latin saying "Su vis pacem, para bellum" ("If you want peace, prepare for war").
The Luger Parabellum pistol became very popular due to its use by Germany during the First and Second World Wars and was a highly coveted pistol by soldiers throughout the 20th century.
It is manufactured in Spain by Denix with quality metal.
