Shield of the Roman legionaries, steel umbo
Roman shield Reconstruction of an ancient shield, called Scutum, as they were led by the Roman legionaries of the imperial era.
The shield is made of wood, has a shield hump (called an Umbo) made of steel and a hand-painted linen cover on the front.
The back is reinforced with thin wooden strips. The shield is carried by a hump on the shoulder.
We deliver the shield with a removed shield hump, which can be easily attached to the customer using the eight enclosed screws with decorative heads.
