Griswold & Gunnison , an American arms manufacturer in the 19th century, created this fantastic revolver, used by the Confederate States during the Civil War . It was based on the classic Colt 1851 , but remodeled the barrel structure with a new design under the Dragoon style.

This Confederate revolver had a .36 caliber with a six-shot drum, and most of this fantastic single-action weapon was developed in Georgia. Another military group that requested this revolver was the US Navy , used to blockade the Atlantic and the Gulf.

This Confederate revolver also features a barrel of the correct size, like the 1851 model, as well as featuring a progressive loading lever, much more effective and faster in operation. The firing quality of this model allowed it to fire at a range of 45-70 meters.

The Georgia developers also replaced the traditional steel frame with a brass one, due to the lack of metal materials in the South. This Denix replica is an official product, developed with a stainless steel barrel, brass frame and wooden grip.
