The Dragoon Percussion is a .44 caliber revolver designed for the United States Cavalry, also called the Dragoons.
This revolver was designed as a solution to the numerous problems that existed in the Walker model.
Although it was introduced after the Mexican-American War, it became popular among civilians during the 1850s-1860s, and was even used during the American Civil War.
