Reproduction of a double-barreled flintlock pistol, made of wood and metal, with a simulated loading and firing mechanism.
It is manufactured in Spain by Denix with the best materials.
This double-barrelled pistol was manufactured in St. Etienne by Jean-Baptiste Gribeauval in 1806 on the express orders of Emperor Napoleon I, and bears his insignia on the grip. Napoleon used it as a travelling pistol and its double-barrelled design gave it a distinct advantage against his opponents, due to the slow reloading process of other flintlock pistols of the time.
Napoleon I Bonaparte (1769-1821), Emperor of France (1804-1815), consolidated and instituted many of the reforms of the French Revolution. He is considered one of the greatest military geniuses in history, conquering most of Europe. He led highly successful military campaigns, albeit with some equally resounding defeats. His aggressive wars of conquest became the largest military operations known to that time in Europe, involving a number of soldiers never seen before in the armies of the time.
It is made of wood and metal and measures 37 cm.
