This Lorica Segmentata Newstead Type is an authentic historical reconstruction , based on archaeological finds from the Roman camp Trimontium , located near Newstead, Scotland . It represents the latest evolution of the segmented armour used by the Roman army between 130 and 280 AD.

- Fixed construction: Unlike previous versions such as the Corbridge or Kalkriese , the Newstead type is not adjustable , but is designed to perfectly fit a user with a chest circumference of up to 112 cm .
