Segmented Lorica Kalkriese
Very authentic reconstruction of Roman armour, the so-called Segmentata Lorica, by Kalkriese.
The Lorica was in use in the Roman army for at least 200 years. The earliest finds are from Kalkriese, Germany and are N. 9 Chr. dated.
The famous Battle of the Teutoburg Forest probably took place there.
Unlike later versions such as Newstead, Corbridge and Kalkriese armours are adjustable in size.
Our replica fits a stand with a chest circumference of around 116 to 120 cm. Of course, the final reach over all clothing (upholstery) should always be measured.
Details:
- Material: 1.3mm steel; Brass and leather
- Size: for chest circumference about 116cm to 120cm
- Weight: 9.7 kg
