This is a highly decorative reconstruction of a late medieval knight's armour from the South Tyrolean castle Churburg. It is made of solid steel in very elaborate handwork. All parts are movable, the armour is therefore functional.
In the Middle Ages, plate armour was usually always made to measure. Here we offer a standard size for a man of average height and a height of 1.75 cm to approximately 1.80 cm.
They are adjustable to almost all relevant parts straps riveted with buckles.
A certain amount of size adjustment is therefore possible. In particular, the shell offers a significantly better size adaptation to other models thanks to its folding mechanism.
However, we would like to note that you should not expect 100% accuracy with armor like this.
The armor is composed of the following components:
- helmet, a so-called Hundsgugel, a helmet variation of the Beck helmet with built-in visor with an Aventail and a cushion cover
- two very complicated powered leg parts, consisting of shoulder protection, upper and lower arm tubes and elbow tiles
- a pair of Hentzen, very moving gauntlets with bronze applications
- the typical folded Coira chest armor
- two complete leg parts, with Oberdiechlingen, knee tiles, lower leg tubes
and tank shoes (also called Escarpes, iron shoes or Soleret)
- chainmail apron unvernietetem
details:
- Material: approx. 1.2mm steel band made from cowhide
- Total weight: about 23.70 kg
- helmet inside circumference about 65.0 cm
